Datamax recognizes the importance of these directives and is taking the necessary steps to meet the compliance standards. RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

The RoHS Directive states that electrical and electronic products put on the market within the EU shall not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls or polybrominated diphenyl ethers after July 1, 2006. >> Read More...


WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)

The WEEE Directive reduces the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment, and improves the environmental performance of all those involved in the life cycle of electrical and electronic products. Under the terms of the WEEE Directive, which took effect on August 13, 2005, manufacturers of electronic equipment must meet recycling objectives by December 2006.
